A 15-year-old boy who is a Basic Education Certificate Candidate has been slashed to death by a 17-year-old with machete to death at Akwapem Adukrom in the Eastern Region.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The two childhood good friends were engaged an altercation over GHC10. 00 which escalated into violence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An eyewitness said \u201d The suspect slapped me and demanded why I had slapped a member of his gang days ago over GHC10.00. I told my friend who is now deceased what transpired. He demanded we look for the suspect and retaliate. The suspect came with cutlass amid sounds from a nearby taxi and slashed my friend on the shoulder. I had to run for my life.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Tetteh Quarshie Memorial Hospital declared the victim dead on arrival as blood oozed from his body. He had cuts on his head and shoulders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Residents are in a state of shock describing the incident among the youthful groups as unwarranted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Families of the minor are currently morning their loss and demanding justice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, the Police have arrested three suspects- owner of the machete, the suspect, and an accomplice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Investigation and prosecution process has since begun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
