Ghanaian Afropop singer and songwriter Camidoh has released a summer anthem titled \u2018Taxi Man\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jointly produced by the UK\u2019s renowned Toddla T and award-winning Ghanaian maestro, Streetbeatz, \u2018Taxi Man\u2019 features guest verses from Vybz Kartel, the iconic figure in Jamaican dancehall; the UK\u2019s rising star, Miss LaFamilia; and the award-winning DJ and producer, DJ Lara Fraser, who bring their unique and unrivaled performance style to the song.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2018Taxi Man\u2019 is a unique dancehall and afrobeats fusion, characterised by the Ghanaian BET Awards Afropop nominee\u2018s signature R&B and afrobeats rhythms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The song comes with a captivating portrait-style music video directed by Amane Akbaraly. Filmed at the famous Zap Studios in London\u2019s Camberwell, the video captures a day with Camidoh, Miss LaFamilia, and DJ Lara Fraser.<\/p>\n\n\n

Camidoh has been soaring high, gaining nominations from the BET Awards, AFRIMA and The Headies, as well as receiving acclaim for his debut project L.I.T.A. He burst onto Ghana\u2019s music scene in 2018 when he was signed to Grind Don\u2019t Stop (GDS) indie label and dropped his first single, \u2018For My Lover. The single and its remix set a buzz around him as the next big thing leading to his first project, Contigency Plan (CP) \u2013 a six-track EP that had rave reviews.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, Camidoh\u2019s big breakthrough came in December when he released the viral hit single, \u2018Sugarcane\u2019. The song shot Camidoh to stardom and when the chart topping \u2018Sugarcane\u2019 remix featuring King Promise, Mayorkun and Darkoo dropped in April 2022, Camidoh became one of the most sought-after African stars in the year. He followed the mega single with the capsule \u2018Sugarcane EP\u2019 and other notable singles \u2018Kaba\u2019 and \u2018Slow\u2019 to further extend his reach across Africa and beyond.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Early this year, he became the second Ghanaian artiste join the prestigious Golden Club of Africa\u2019s largest music streaming and download platform, Boomplay, for reaching and surpassing a milestone of 100 million streams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
