The family of the late Dr Hilla Limann Mourns With the Late Opanyin Yaw Afari Aidoo's Family
The Paramount Chief of the Gwollu Traditional Area, Kuoru Babukwie Bajor Limann V, accompanied by two Divisional chiefs from the Sissala West District of the Upper West Region where in Agona-Nyakrom, to sympathize with the family of the late Opanyin Yaw Afari Aidoo.

The late Opanyin Yaw Afari Aidoo, a very close friend, a “brother and a family member” of the late Kuoru, Dr. Hilla Limann III was called to glory and laid to rest on Saturday the 16th of May, 2026 at the Tufuhene’s Palace at Agona Nyakrom.

The late Opanyin Yaw Afari Aidoo was 93 years old.
Due to the long standing family friendship relationship between the late Opanyin Yaw Afari Aidoo (AKA JK/ Kwaw Yedu) and late Paramount Chief of Gwollu and also former president of the 3rd Republic of Ghana, Dr Hilla Limann III, the family mobilized and attended the final funeral rites in grand style.

The late Opanyin Yaw Afari Aidoo was a great personality and a traditional ruler in the enclave of Agona-Nyakrom and served as Tufuhene.

The delegation of the Paramount Chief of Gwollu Traditional Area who accompanied Kuoru Babukwie Bajor Limann V consisted of his Divisional Chiefs such as Bullu Kuoru, Kuoro Abdul-Rahaman Kassim Baatah IV) and Nyimati Kuoru, Kuoru Salamu Navei III, were led by the Sissala most powerful warrior dancers known as the “Nankpaana“ Troupe from the Kusali community. Other family members who were part of the delegation to the funeral were Baluri Limann, Buali Limann, Gbemmie Limann, Nalmua Limann , Ibrahim Issaka, Mutala Limann, Baluri Tani a and a family friend, Sulley Asimiru Forfoi
